ABOUT THE POEM:
My mom wrote this poem in 1985. I don't remember who the recipient was, but I have a copy of the original handwritten document.
"A CHRISTMAS GIFT:"
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells
Listen to them ring
It is almost Christmas
Time to laugh and sing.
Time to be so festive
Time to be so gay
Come and take a ride now
In my magic sleigh.
And as we ride the miles
We can just pretend
That we are flying high
To the happy end!
Like Santa's sled, we float
High above the clouds
Far away from earth now
Far away from crowds.
We're so close to Heaven
If we listen hard
We can hear the Angels
Singing for the Lord!
Isn't this fantastic
Isn't this such fun
Maybe we will see Him
God's Begotten Son!
He was born on Christmas
Born to save us all
Listen, I hear voices
Do you hear them call?
The voices sing of Love
And they sing of Peace
Happiness forever
Nevermore to cease!
The message that they tell
Is for us to spread
Throughout the world today
Before All is dead.
Let's revive our Spirits
Show the Lord we care
He gave this Earth to us
Let us love and share.
If we do this my friends
God will bless us sure
Our Earth will be Heaven
Wonderful and Pure!
