The Northern California Bus Fans group held an excursion through the San Ramon Valley on August 25, 2012. The two buses used
were Terry Thatcher's ex-Golden Gate Transit GMC 854 and Roi Kingon Sr.'s ex-GGT Flxible 1401. The Flxible continued via Marin County and
the Golden Gate Bridge to downtown San Francisco.
After dropoff, I went over to the Embarcadero, where Muni was operating demonstrator E line streetcar service in conjunction with America's Cup activities. Newly restored PCC 1008 was in its first day of revenue service after acceptance testing.
