Car 1059 was originally Philadelphia Transportation Co. 2099, built in 1948. Muni applied a livery of Boston Elevated Railroad in tribute to that PCC operator.
The original Muni livery used red, but a rehabilitation in 2017 saw replacement with a more authentic orange color. The car is in regular service on the F line.
