BLUE BIRD 1024:Here's Blue Bird 1024 looking rather beat up as it lays over at the 21 Fontainebleau terminal at S. Claiborne and S. Carrollton in February 1996. The 21 route was discontinued by 2001; it was a replacement for the Lowerline branch of the Broad Street route which was in turn cut back to Washington Avenue. The 24-Napoleon took over the Fontainebleau route, but only to Lowerline.
BLUE BIRD 1036:The original paint scheme of the Blue Birds was based on the NOPSI advanced design colors. Bus 1036 on the 21 Fontainebleau lays over at the S. Claiborne and S. Carrollton terminal in December 1990. Also visible are GMC RTS 595 and M-A-N Americana 835, both on the 16 Claiborne Poydras. One new and one replacement photo added 03/30/11.
BLUE BIRD 1040:Blue Bird 1040 on the 21 Fontainebleau at the S. Claiborne and S. Carrollton terminal in December 1990. Next to it is GMC RTS 599 on the 16 Claiborne Poydras. Two photos added 03/30/11.
BLUE BIRD 19:Bus 19 of The Lift fleet on South Claiborne near South Carrollton, early 1990s.
