The Carpenter CBW-300 buses were RTA's first new bus purchase after taking over New Orleans Public Service transit operations on July 1, 1983. They arrived in late 1983 and were used in feeder service (such as the CBD Shuttles, Palmer Park, Broadway, Vieux Carre) and on express lines (such as 80 and 81).
CARPENTER 1010:Carpenter 1010 on 1 Easy Rider (RTA's successor to NOPSI's CBD Shuttle routes) on Canal St. in the early 1990s.
CARPENTER 1011:Carpenter 1011 on CBD Shuttle Route 2 outbound at Poydras St. and Loyola Ave. in early 1984.
Carpenter 1019 on the Palmer Park line at S. Claiborne and S. Carrollton Aves. in early 1984.
CARPENTER 1020:Carpenter 1020 on the CBD Shuttle Route 2 at Canal and South Peters Sts. in early 1984.
CARPENTER 1021:Carpenter 1021 at Canal Station is signed for the Vieux Carre line. Early 1984.
CARPENTER 1022:Carpenter 1022 on the Vieux Carre line at the foot of Poydras Street. Early 1984.
CARPENTER 1023:Carpenter 1023 on the CBD Shuttle #1 line on Poydras Street. Early 1984.
