The consolation prize music
from "Now You See It" recorded to audio cassette in August 1974.
Buzzing comes from the microphone. Mine is the only recording
on the internet I've ever found of this Score Productions track. When the
program premiered in April 1974, "The Price is Right" began playing
variations of this music for prizes and ticket plugs. The latter could be heard
as late as 2007, when Bob Barker still hosted. Major music websites that
offer "clean" game show music have three variations of the NYSI prize music,
often mislabeled as to its use on TPIR.
It is my hope that some day, a kindly person can offer either the "clean"
version of the NYSI prize music or an original recording that does not have
the microphone buzz.
