ABOUT THE BUS:

GMC 6512 is a TDH 4512 built June 1959 that was originally owned by San Jose City Lines. According to the roster at the Ohio Museum of Transportation, this is the last 4512 built. The bus followed ownership succession of Santa Clara County Transit District, the Transportation Agency, and Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority. The preserved coach was dedicated as the Rosa Louise Parks Memorial Bus on February 15, 2006.

GMC 6512 was brought to the SamTrans 40th anniversary celebration held at San Mateo County Event Center on September 10, 2016. This is the first time I saw this bus in person. In selected shots 6512 is posed with GMC 2103, a TDH 4801 built 1958 for the Key System and preserved by Pacific Bus Museum.
