AIRPORT BUS:

This little engine-forward bus signed "Airport" sat for sale on S. Seventh St. near Tully Rd. in San Jose on March 11, 2009.


ALLSTATE CHARTER LINES:

An MC6 in a pink livery for Allstate Charter Lines at an unknown snowy location in December 1981. Two images from an uncredited slide added 01/20/20.


BAD TO THE BONE:

This monster school bus conversion offered rides in the parking lot of a shopping center at Capitol Ave. and McKee Rd. in San Jose. Photographed on the evening of February 5, 2011. Three photos added 02/06/11.

BILOXI CTA:

Blue Bird 0015 on the 31 Back Bay route at a beachside transit center in March 2004. Slide in my collection. Photo from another page added 10/29/13.


BONEYARD SHUTTLE:



This oversized bus called Grave Diggers Boneyard Shuttle gave rides during October 1997 at Northridge Mall in Salinas.


BREW CRUZ:


According to the Brew Cruz website, "Betty Jane" is a 1989 Thomas on an International chassis, restored over a seven month period. It's available for charters and tours of local breweries. I took these photos on Cathcart St. between Pacific Ave. and Cedar St. on April 28, 2018. Six photos added 12/03/19.

CHARLES SCHWAB:

A "Talk to Chuck" cutaway bus at Market and Main Sts. in downtown San Francisco on June 29, 2009. The bus is operated by Minitrans Corporation (San Francisco Minibus).


CHEVY'S:


This old engine forward bus was parked at the Salinas location of Chevy's Restaurants on June 9, 2006.


EAGLE TOURS:

Eagle Tours cutaway bus no. 228 at El Camino Real and E. Remington Ave. in Sunnyvale on the evening of July 25, 2011. Two photos added 08/03/11.


SAN FRANCISCO FERRY BUILDING:

A nighttime shot of the Ferry Building on July 6, 2008. It was 9:15 p.m., and darkness had just fallen. Inside one can find the Ferry Building Marketplace, a collection of restaurants and shops. In back and on the sides are ferry docks.


SAN FRANCISCO FIRE ENGINE TOURS:

San Francisco Fire Engine Tours uses a restored 1955 Mack engine to provide sightseeing tours of San Francisco and Marin County.

GARRETT BUS TOURS:

Garrett Bus Tours has a "Silver Bullet Express" coach that's a former Gillig school bus. Here it is at the parking lot of California's Great America on May 29, 2009.


GALVESTON ISLAND TRANSIT:

Island Transit GMC 7611 on route 1 at the 20th St. transfer center (between Market and Avenue E) in October 1984. The old United States Customhouse is seen in the background. One scan of an uncredited slide added 04/16/19.


Island Transit Flxible 9102 on route 6 at Kmart in Galveston in August 1991. Two photos added 08/03/11.


HOTDOG EXPRESS:

This Highway Products Twin Coach is equipped as a mobile canteen. Unknown location and photographer, this slide from my collection is dated July 1986 and was added 05/20/18.


MANCHESTER GM:

Two shots of Little Gem bus D952 NDB, a 1987 Dodge 50, in the 1990s. In the first photo, the parked bus bears route legend 402 Royton. The second photo displays 04 Rushcroft via Oldham as the bus approaches a stop. The bus door displays a logo for Oldham Depot, located on Wallshaw St. near Mumps, operated in March 2012 by First Group. The windows of the building behind the bus in the first photo say Pop Inn (Pop-In) Centre. Margaritaville Express is an MCI bus that appeared in Santa Clara at the time of a Jimmy Buffett performance


NASA SHUTTLE:


Service connecting NASA Ames facility with the Mountain View Caltrain station. Here is a Blue Bird All American Forward Engine bus on Whisman Ave. south of Middlefield Rd. on April 26, 2018. Four photos added 05/01/18.


PAYPAL BUS:


Paypal Gillig 432 at San Jose Diridon Station on October 26, 2007.


RAILBUS IN NEW ORLEANS:

BRE-Leyland exported a diesel railbus to the United States in a tour to various properties. New Orleans RTA operated it in service between Kenner and Union Passenger Terminal from December 6, 1984 to January 11, 1985. This photo from Earl W. Hampton, Jr. shows the railbus laying over at the latter location. One photo added 04/10/11.


SLAVNIK KOPER:

A Mercedes-Benz O302 bus labeled Slavnik Koper sits at the border of Bulgaria and Greece on September 14, 1973. Both images come from slides in my collection and were added 12/06/11.


SOCIETY DOG BUS:

This Society Dog bus was parked on the shoulder of CA 85 at the Saratoga Ave. exit on June 30, 2007.


CITY OF SOLEDAD (CA) SHUTTLE:

The City of Soledad briefly operated a shuttle bus, seen at East and Monterey Sts. on June 10, 2011. Three photos moved 11/07/11.


US BANK:


A MAN Americana bus decorated for US Bank seen at El Paseo de Saratoga shopping center on July 1, 2005.


WHISKEY PETE'S PEOPLE MOVER
