GMC 2012 (TDH5301):

Pictured with GMC 2012 (demonstrator serial number 002, received July 1960 after making a GM sales tour) is retiring Westside driver Salvador Macaluso. He was a 44 year veteran (working for predecessors Louisiana Power and Light Co., South N.O. Light and Transit Co., and Algiers Railway and Light Co.) who decided to leave at age 65, which he turned the day before the photo, September 30, 1960. Times-Picayune press photo added 10/15/18.


GMC 2012 along the Mississippi River in Gretna in a slide stamped January 1973. This coach went to Tijuana, Mexico and was later scrapped. One photo scanned from a Jim Beeler slide added 07/27/18.


GMC 1225 (TDH5301):

GMC 1225 (demo serial no. 2782, received Oct. 1963) at gate 7 of the Avondale Shipyards on October 19, 1973. Note the Texaco gasoline station and the Avondale Shipyard pickup truck. One photo from a slide in my collection added 07/27/18.


GMC 1934 (T6H5305A):

GMC 1934 (serial no. 0407, delivered August 1969) on the Algiers Local bus line at S. Rampart and Canal Sts. in a slide with mount stamped January 1971. The cropped version shows a partial Saenger marquee saying John Wayne in Rio Lobo, released December 17, 1971. The bus has ad wings and air conditioning.
