A couple of weekday workdays paid as vacation. I used the second with my regular day off to make an overnight stay in West Sacramento.

First, I stopped by Fairfield to photograph the Rio Vista Delta Breeze cutaway van. Also got some Napa VINE route 21, SolTrans B and R buses, and Fairfield FAST buses that include a Gillig electric.

Next was a stop by Vacaville for two New Flyers on route 6.

The Yolobus tracker showed that Orion VII (OG) 729 was in service on route 41, so I went to West Sacramento for that.

Drove to Fixins restaurant at Broadway and 3rd Ave. in Sacramento. After lunch, I snapped some shots of Sacramento RT buses on the 51 and 68 lines.

Next was the big part of the day, commuter buses on 15th St. The position of the sun didn't yield much sunlight over the trees and buildings blocking it. Most of the photography was therefore done in shadowed areas at the corners of N, then Q, then O Sts. The lighting was much better at O St. Among the agencies are Yuba-Sutter Transit, El Dorado Transit, Placer County Transit, Roseville Transit, RT Elk Grove Transit, and Yolobus. Included are MCIs (notably Yolobus 5702-5703 and South County Transit GC-03 to Galt), New Flyers, Gilligs, Roseville Proterra 24-531, and Yolobus Orion VII (OG) 730.

After check in and dinner, I stopped at West Capitol Ave. and Harbor Blvd. after dark for what turned out to be Yolobus Orion VII (OG) 731.
